1993년 미국 유학 후 한진 미국지사에서 근무하다가, 탤런트의 꿈을 이루기 위해 귀국하여 MBC '한지붕 세가족'으로 방송계 입문, 1994년 미니시리즈 '사랑의 그대 품안에'를 통하여 스타로 급부상하며 1995년에는 드라마에 함께 출연했던 배우 신애라와 결혼해 연예인 커플의 대명사가 된다. 미국국적을 가지고서도 본인 스스로 군입대, 1996년 군 복무중 영화 <알바트로스>로 영화배우 데뷔, 그 이후 <짱><닥터 K><아이언 팜>등의 영화에 출연하면서 영화배우로 활동중이다. 가수로서의 활동은 2000년 개인 독집 'First Music Projest solitoquy'를 발매하면서 시작했다. .... ....
