INTRODUCTION
Korpi Ensemble은 가냘프고 청아한 보컬을 가진 Johanna Iivanainen 을 중심으로 아코디언의 Hannu Oskala, 키보드의Arttu Kataja, 더블베이스의 Tero Tuovinen, 드럼의Pekka Saarikorpi 그리고 기타의 Petri Kivimäki으로 구성된 혼성 6인조 밴드이다. 이들은 팝, 재즈, 포크를 유연하게 넘나들며 멜랑콜리하면서도 멜로디가 강한 순도 100%의 감성적 어쿠스틱 음악을 들려주고 있다. 특히 보컬 Johanna는 핀란드 재즈 잡지인 Jazzrymit이 선정한 ‘A Jazz Vocalist of The Year’에 몇 번이나 선정되었고 2003 ‘Sony Jazz Prize’를 수상하기도 한 실력파 보컬리스트로 맑고 청아하면서도 동시에 우수 어린 분위기를 함께 자아내는 보컬로 팀의 음악적 핵심이 되고 있다.
"Korpi"는 핀란드어로 오래된 나무들이 우거진 어두운 숲을 뜻하지만 이들의 주제는 언제나 사랑과 인생이다. ....  ....
