모던락 밴드 필름스타! 음악에 뛰어든 지는 이제 1년이지만, 신중하고 힘차게 한발씩 내딛고 있는 어디까지 성장할지 기대되는 밴드
블루스를 기반으로 독특하고 개성넘치는 기타사운드로 무장한 김대호와 다양한 끼를 가진 베이시스트 강현정이 중성적이면서 매력적인 보컬 이태규와 만나면서 필름스타의 첫 걸음이 시작되었다. 이후 탄탄한 실력을 갖춘 드러머 이승환과 만나게 되면서 현재의 라인업을 구성하게 되었고 활발한 활동을 하고 있다.
멤버 모두가 Britpop 매니아들로 Suede, Pulp, Radiohead, Oasis, David Bowie, Placebo의 영향을 강하게 받았고, 팀의 이름도 Suede의 Coming up 앨범 수록곡 “FilmStar”에서 따오게 된다.
