INTRODUCTION본래 고등학교 동창인 더글라스(보컬)와 댄(기타), 그리고 신문광고를 통해 함께 음악을 하면서 알고 지낸 마쿠(Markku)와 크리스(드럼)까지 모여 1994년 결성되었다.
* Hoobastank(후바스탱크)의 뜻? 독일에서 BMW 오토바이 회사에 다니는 더글라스의 5명의 형 중, 한 분이 그 회사 바로 옆에 있는 주유소 이름이 Hoobastank라는 얘기를 듣고 그냥 너무 웃겼다. 그래서 그룹명도 그렇게 웃기고 재미있게 짓게 됐다. 밴드 멤버들도 솔직히 그 단어의 뜻은 전혀 모른다고… * 영향 받은 아티스트 혹은 밴드 툴, 앨리스 인 체인스, 레드 핫 칠리 페퍼스, 건즈 앤 로지스, 펄 잼,,,, 등등…. 물론, 그 중에서도 페이쓰 노 모어(Faith No More)가 가장 큰 영향을 끼쳤다. 2001년의 데뷔작 [Hoobastank]는 당시 인큐버스와 비슷한 평가를 받으며, 빌보드 앨범 차트 25위까지 오르는 기염을 토하며, 전세계적으로 150만장이라는 판매고를 기록했다. 또한, 빌보드 모던록 차트를 ....  ....
