셰어(Cher(/ˈʃɛr/), 1946년 5월 20일 ~ )는 미국의 싱어송라이터, 배우이다. 본명은 셰릴린 사키시안(Cherilyn Sarkisian)이며, 감독, 음반 제작자로도 활동하고 있다. 1960년대 초반부터 활동했으며, 아카데미상, 그래미상, 에미상을 각각 1회, 골든 글로브상을 3회 수상하였다.
17살인 1963년부터 활동을 시작한 셰어는 소니 앤 셰어(Sonny and Cher)로 활동하였고, 1965년 "I Got You Babe"가 히트를 치면서 명성을 얻었다. 이후 솔로 경력을 시작하였고, 1970년대부터는 텔레비전에 출연하여 "소니 앤 셰어 코미디 시간"(The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour)으로 인기를 끌었다. 1984년에는 "실크우드"(Silkwood)에 출연하여 아카데미 여우조연상에 후보로 오르기도 했다. 1988년에는 "문스트럭"(Moonstruck)에 출연하여 아카데미 여우주연상을 수상하였다.
1990년대에도 그의 활동은 계속되었는데, 특히 1999년 발표한 "빌리브"(Believe)는 세계적으로 천만 장 이상 팔려 그의 경력 전체를 통틀어 가장 많이 팔린 앨범이자, 1999년에 가장 많이 팔린 솔로 앨범이 되었다. 2002~5년 동안에는 "Farewell Tour"를 진행하였는데, 당시 여성 솔로 가수중에는 최고의 성공을 거두었다.
40년이 넘는 경력동안, 셰어는 대중문화의 아이콘이자 가장 유명하고 많이 팔린 가수의 위치를 지키고 있다. 그동안 그는 총 1억 장 이상의 앨범을 판매하였다. 2005년 투어 이후 3년을 휴식한 셰어는 2008년부터 무대로 복귀했으며 2011년까지 예정된 "Cher at the Colosseum" 공연을 진행중이다. .... ....
