Well if I were you I'd be wiser
To the sounds that make you up And if only time was longer I'd be gone And if what you say is the answer And for all you know it's true Maybe I sleep too long Or sometimes speak too soon And remember the sun don't shine And remember the sky's not blue And if only I was you I'd be right along here hiding behind the moon Well I should have known you'd be leaving Just as soon as you got here And in time I'll fall around you And disappear And the thought of a day left to wander In a time with eyes on me Maybe I say too much But with that we'll disagree |

I know you don't care about anymore
Seeing tonight taking me down below you Just say it all because you already know How it could be with me along and wandering Keep it in mind that I'll never change I'm stuck with myself and the world around me Staring with eyes that melt me away I'm caught in a day not so clear |

Every hour it's easier
It's the same thing every time And the last thing you will hear Is the first thing on your mind Though in telling our lives on and on again And you try to see the times when it's open And worry not of regret Please remember the scenery It was clear and calm for me The place just hung with open eyes And we all knew my machine Still I'm breathing standing Trying hard to reply knowing why The one who sleeps while in motion Is easily placed as you'll find How was I to know you'd be their call Waiting on your own And everything would change if you were gone I'm learning after all for you and I alone But the moments always Keep me here with you And I feel worse alone and you do too The light is moving catching On to where you've been And I've decided to stay here And do it all again |

You are the reason why you're here
You are the cause for all this fear I'll let you know when I'm tired of this time I'll let you know when I'm tired You are the reason why you're dead You are the cause for all this yes I'll let you know when I've had too much of this time I'll let you know when I've had too much I'm trapped in a tube I'm tied next to you Air's runnning out We're going too soon I'm trapped in a tube Tied next to you Can anyone see Oh yes we're going down Oh yes we're going down Oh yes we're going down Down, going down I am the reason why're you're here I am the cause for this fear I'll let you know when I'm tired this time I'll let you know when I'm tired |

Look at your face.
Staring across like a diamond knife. I'll lock the door because I fear their not too far behind. The sky has gone quietly dark. How this will end is the same as the start. Placing a hand on the side of my face you will bring me in. I know you well let those lies begin. Do they hear you when you call them? I have no way to decide. I've made some mistakes now there's nowhere that's safe how they follow me. And all that you want you can have but you can't ever leave. Tell me how this will be wrong, and what you'll do. The room was still 304. A man came across who I'd seen once before. He pulled me aside and then asked me to say if i'd brought a friend. I said I'm down to just one friend. Still there are years I've forgotten. Everything lost you will find. The evening has come once again as it had many times before. And I know what you want to do so I think you should go. Tell me how this will be wrong. It's al you've known. |

Oh, what I could say to you again.
I've never really understood what you need from me. So you can see all of this and know I was here. I never meant a single word that I said. Sometimes I just look around for something else. Somehow, I just lost a year, But we all make promises. I'm not the same as how you might remember. Now I see how this is turning out. And I'm sure because everyone Tells me what I want, and what I'm not, To make it stop. Oh, When morning comes who will be the simple one? I can see how all your plans are turning out. Somehow, I just lost a year But we all make our promises I'm not the same as how you might remember. Now I see how this is turning out. And I'm sure because everyone Still tells me what I've got, To make it stop. |

Night comes and I need someone to take me home
I'm a year's supply of words for no one else But I'm tired now of offering Words that you would never understand Like a dark day, and a cold hand How it's turned on me again somehow And my friends that really were aren't really now And I'm hearing things so quietly You hold just what you have right over me Like your whole life, and how it comes right back to mine, oh Haven't I done this all before? Maybe I have, I'm not sure But never again will I be left under the open air I waited around for you to be there I won't believe that it's so far away And I don't sleep now at night but through the day And you'll ask me why so honestly But I don't think it's something that I can see Like an old friend, turning now then once again, oh Haven't I done this all before? Maybe I have I'm not sure But only today will you still keep inside what I have said It's something new for you to forget So I'm not making any plans And where would I begin? But I'm doing so much better than So I think you should know There's not a window that I can't see out And your stories left too soon to read about But it was all done so easily I'm still not sure where I'm supposed to be Like your whole life, and how it comes right back to mine Haven't I done this all before? I know I have I'm quite sure But never again will I be left under the open air I waited around for you to be there Someone that you should have known Everything was there to be your own |

from Jeff Hanson - Jeff Hanson (2005)
Suddenly you raise your eyes and see the day that slowly starts to rise.
It never was before, but now it is, so it has caught you by surprise. But, oh, it's been very, oh, it's been so hard sometimes; You know it's right. The time has moved us back beyond the door that I was trying to get in, But everything has come so clear that I don't even know where to begin. But oh it's been very, oh, it's been so hard to find; You know it's right. You've gone so many times before, what rules do you follow? If something would happen to you, I don't know what I would do. I can see the tide is quickly coming in, but I can barely see out. Oh, it's moving now. But I hope, someday we'll see you arrive, And if you could still see the moon... They'll send you and leave you out; Someday soon they'll offer it to you. And now it goes on and on. And now it's close to dark; reflections of you seem to slide across the waves. I never will forget, and how would I, cause I was standing there for days. But oh it's been very, oh, it's been so hard sometimes; You know it's right. The weight of this is nothing to complain about. And what would you add up? But I hope, someday we'll see you arrive, And if you could still see the moon... They'll send you and leave you out; Someday soon they'll offer it to you. And now it goes on and on. Something came to life and told me what I had to feel, So I took their advice; now I'm turning on the wheel. I'll be alright, so don't count me out. The timing has to be right, so we don't leave any doubts. Suddenly the sun (suddenly the sun) is right where you belong, Suddenly the sun (suddenly the sun) is moving you along. All becomes the weather seems to make a certain way that you will find. It's only put together for a day and somehow enters in your mind. Oh it's been very, oh, it's been so long; I hope someday we'll see you arrive. And if you could still see the moon... They'll send you and leave you out; Someday soon they'll offer it to you. And now it goes on and on. |

Here's the line
Where I start Somehow I will begin now. I'm so behind, between eyes This is not where it will end Oh, once again. There's a town where I go Walking around in the morning I will learn these streets how they turn Though memories somehow deceive me Careful now the bridge is out The lines make their way through the ceiling I'll return. If I could find any words at all How I'd say them right I wouldn't mind If you took them for light Cause all we have is night All we have is night I will take what I know When I come around in the evening All of our lies have most of my time But I know that you still believe me Careful now so full of doubt Someday they'll give you a reason How we'll learn, I will learn If I could find anyway at all Someday I know I might I wouldn't mind If you took them for light Cause all we have is night All we have is night Out of this grey how things still burn so brightly There is no time but we know too soon. |
