Part I - Blinded by the Sun
Bring me back again, I'd really rather not be out here on my own. Someone reel me in, I'm drifting ever farther from my home. I remember when I was a baby gazing in amazement at the sky. Sing it twinkle twinkle little baby daddy's gonna learn you to fly... high... like a coment through the sky. Bring me back again, I'd really rather not be out here on my own. I'm drifting with the wind, trying to hold the course that I've been shown. I remember when I was a baby staring in amazement at the sun. Better shield your eyes now little baby no one ever said you were the one; no one ever said you were the one who can't be blinded by the sun. I think I'm blinded by the sun. Part II - Sanity is Coming to Town I like to taunt, I like to tease. I'll bring your psyche to its knees. Juggling. Sanity is coming to your town. Who gives a damn what you say, you're pissing all your dreams away. Juggling. Sanity is coming to your town. Part III - Pressing Onward Towards the Light Pressing onward through the night. Pressing onward towards the light. |

If I'm zapped with radiation they say I'll last another year. Line 'em up now to greet the sacred cow. My hands are full of protein, my arms are made of fire. If you're calling me a diplomat, I'll be calling you a liar. Line 'em up now to greet the sacred cow. Line 'em up now to greet the sacred cow |

Bodacious am a whole lotta'
bull over nineteen hundred pounds. He's born in Galry, Oklahoma and he's the baddest sonsabitch around if a Burma bull ever were a super star then Bodacious just might be. He's a cream colored, beefy brawn, full-fledged, four footed bovine celebrity. Who's gonna ride Bodacious? Who's gonna tame him down? Look out for Bodacious, he's bound to hold his ground. Here comes Bodacious, ya'll just step aside. Big and bad Bodacious takes a toll from those who ride. Young Bo met a man named Tuff Hedeman at the start of his buckin' spree and Tuff became one of the few to make the whistle bkac in Nineteen Ninety Three. Tuff tried to ride Bo again at the finals in Nineteen Ninety Five. Bodacious had got a little older and wiser Tuff barely came out alive. |

I been fightin' gravity since I was two.
Questers of the prize blind men int he snow. Some streak the skies I choose to go below. Skin moves towards malignant worshipping the sun. They clamber over corpses to be the chosen ones. To the carpenter and the dainty bride
The grass appears greener on the other side So let's clarify before we unite That the grass in never greener on the other side To the carpenter said the dainty bride I pledge to you my love tonight But I will not hesitate to euthanize If the grass becomes greener on the other side Said the carpenter to the dainty bride I would never do a thing to jeopardize This union I consider prize Grass never will be greener on the other side To the preacher man said the dainty wife He thought the grass was greener on the other side So I buried in his belly my butcher knife And ended these years of wretched strife Said the preacher man to the guilty wife Though the law may give you twenty years to life Pray forgiveness in the Father's eyes And the grass just may be greener on the other side |

I once had an icecube
Purty little icecube Now it's gone Now it's gone Her name was Mary Purty little ice cube Now she's gone Now she's gone She was so shiny, My purty little icecube Now she's gone Where she gone? She's gone with the others The shiny little icecubes Movin' on. Movin' on. She's gone Doesn't nothin' ever last forever? I miss my icecube Purty little icecube Since she's withdrawn I held her in my hand My chilly little icecube Was it wrong? Was it wrong? She slipped away My moist little icecube To oblivion, oblivion She left me standing With tears on my face On the lawn So I wrote this song Purty little icecube Where have you gone? Doesn't nothing ever last forever? Now she's gone Nothing ever lasts forever Doesn't nothing ever last forever? It's been declared That it's not wise To prize something too much I just wish to find something to Flaunt the right to Touch so gently Doesn't nothing ever last forever? |

My friend Fats, he's a hell fo a guy.
Let me tell you why. He's the epitome of neighborly. My friend Fats, he's a hell fo a guy. Let me tell y'all why. He drips personality. My friend Fats, he's a heck of a Joe. You should watch him go, Bopping in the band shine With a bota pag of fried wine. My friend Fats, he's a hell fo a guy. Let me tell you why. He's lowbrow nobility. My friend Fats, he's a jovial sort. When he's holding court, The anecdotes go round And the lager goes down. My friend Fats, he's a hell fo a guy. And just as long as he's high He has no anxiety About his chemical dependencies. Fats has no concerns About the candle that burns Both ends simultaneous, Both ends simultaneous. My friend Fats, he's a hell fo a guy. Let me tell y'all why. Not much for ponctuality, But heck on debauchery. Fats, he's a hell of a man, Can't y'all understand. Him taunting his mortality, He's unnerved by sobriety. |

Fellow colleagues, distinguished members of the press, ladies and gentlemen. I would like to take this opportunity to personally and humbly thank each and every one of you for joining us at this particular event. It is my hope that we can utilize this meeting of the minds,to successfully convey the essence of our platform to you,and grand and noble audience. As I look out among the faces,I reflect. Taking console in the words of Franklin Delano Roosevelt who said, "We have nothing to fear, but fear itself." Paranoia is a disease unto itself, and may I add,the person standing next to you may not be who they appear to be,so take precautions. A mind is a terrible thing to waste, this is true. Many a young person has fallen prey to the substances that alter the perspective of any right thinking individual. The problem with the youth today is because of their inexperience with the world. They cannot attempt to grasp the ideals set fourth by myself and those who proceded me. But,has history has shown, they will come around and embrace our philosophies and become model citizens in their own right,God bless this great nation |

They found James Ambrose dead in his cell A gaping gash in his arm had drained him down to Hell No one knew for sure in Ambrose was his name They called him Yankee Sullivan in early days of fame He'd known the game of fisticuffs had always treated him right But no one knew the men who came and took his life that night He'd spent some time in Botany Bay atoning for his sins He fought a bout with Hammer Lane and took a tainted win He was the hero of the Bowery, a prince of lawless times Then was battered by the "Butcherman" in 1849 He knew the game of fisticuffs, he knew the game of might But no one knew the men who came and took his life one night He knew the game of fisticuffs Lilly and McCoy were shy of a hundred and forty pounds In 1842 they went a hundred and eighteen rounds They begged McCoy to cash it in, he said that he would not Got up and fought one more round then died right on the spot He knew the game of fisticuffs, he knew the game of fight But no one knew the game would come and take his life that night |

His lawyer in the courtroom, made a noble plea And the judge he gave him eighteen months, but he was out in three When asked if he ever felt remorse while sittin' up in that pen He said "Hell no, ya know a thief's a thief And I'd shoot the that fucker again" |

'Cause of all my brother Masons, I'm the quickest with a joke. Catch me in the right light, you'll see my shapes shaped to please. And if I shank my trousers down, I'm hung just above the knees. You may have difficulty catchin' breath, when you hear my weighty name. I'm the one that told you, told you so, they calls me Puddin' Taine. Now step on up to dance the dance, and touch the hand that heals. Like the tallest hog on Wall street, I'm a wheelin' all the deals. They'll carve my face in marble, they'll etch my name in stone. Came up on a worried man, asked him if he had a light. He reached on down, dug in his shoe, figured in his sock he might. He asked if he could come and join, at what we was partakin' in. I says,"Ol' soul if you got a match, you also got yourself a friend". The smoke drew hard but laid in good, the neon gave us extra shine. We passed around a flask of Knockando, and a half litre bottle of wine. The worried man dropped down to his knees, and let out with a somber groan. He looked up to me and when I asked, he said,"I'm just restin' my bones". I looked down at him, and him up at me, then a smile rose above his chin. He grabbed me by the arm and pulled me down, said," Listen to me now my friend". When I was your age I did it all, more than many men could do, now my possessions are the ones I wear on my back, and this lighter I keep in my shoe. That's why I'm restin' my bones. I'm restin' my bones for the times I fell, fell and hit myself on the ground. Restin' my bones for the loneliness, of being the only genius around. I'm restin' my bones for prosperity, in hopes that it'll do me some good. I'm restin' bones from amphetamines, see they turned teeth to balsa wood. I'm restin' bones for Johnny Cash, 'cause for me and mine he's wearin' black. I'll be restin' my bones for Elvis, I seen him last week at the track. If I'm restin' bones and you come along, just try and tippy toe on by. 'cause when I'm restin' bones I hope to sleep, and maybe slip away and die. |

Her honey belly pulls the seams Curves are still upon the hinge Pale zeros tinge the tiger skin Moist as grass, ripe and heavy as the night The sponge is full, well out of sight All around the conversations Icing on the warm flesh cake Light creeps through her secret tunnels Sucked into the open spaces Burning out in sudden flashes Draining blood from well-fed faces Desires form in subtle whispers Flex the muscles in denial Up and down its pristine cage So the music, so the trial Vows of sacrifice, headless chickens Dance in circles, they the blessed Man and wife, undressed by all Their grafted trunks in heat possessed Even as the soft skins tingle They mingle with the homeless mother Who loves the day but lives another That once was hers The worried father, long lost lover Brushes ashes with his broom Rehearses jokes to fly and hover Bursting over the bride and groom And the talk goes on Memories crash on tireless waves The lifeguards whom the winter saves Silence falls the guillotine All the doors are shut Nervous hands grip tight the knife In the darkness, till the cake is cut Passed around, in little pieces The body and the flesh The family and the fishing-net And another in the mesh The body and the flesh |

And lived by himself in the swamp Hunting alligator for a living. Knock 'em on the head with a stump The Louisiana law's gonna get you, Amos It ain't legal hunting alligator down in the swamp, boy Now everybody blamed his old man for raising him mean as a snake When Amos Moses was a boy, his Daddy would use him as alligator bait Tie a rope around his waist, throw him in the swamp Alligator bait on the Louisiana bayou Just about 45 minutes southeast of Tipidow, Louisiana There lived a man called Duck Bill Sam and his pretty wife Hannah They raised up a son that could eat up his weight in groceries Named him after a man of the cloth. They called him Amos Moses Now folks in South Louisiana said Amos was a helluva man He could trap the biggest, meanest alligator. He only had to use one hand That's all he got left 'cause the alligator bit him. Ha ha! Left arm gone clean up to the elbow Just about 45 minutes southeast of Tipidow, Louisiana There lived a man called Duck Bill Sam and his pretty wife Hannah They raised up a son that could eat up his weight in groceries Named him after a man of the cloth. He never did come out again. Well, I wonder where the Louisiana Sheriff went to? Sure can get lost in the Louisiana bayou (3X) |

Said Tommy the Cat as he reeled back to clear whatever foreign matter may have nestled its way into his mighty throat. Many a fat alley rat had met its demise while staring point blank down the cavernous barrel of this awesome prowling machine. Truly a wonder of nature this urban predator. Tommy the cat had many a story to tell, But it was a rare occasion such as this that he did. She came slidin' down the alleyway like butter drippin' off a hot biscuit. The aroma, the mean scent, was enough to arouse suspicion in even the oldest of Tigers that hung around the hot spot in those days. The sight was beyond belief. Many a head snapped for double - even triple - takes as this vivacious feline made her her way into the delta of the alleyway where the most virile of the young tabbys were known to hang out. They hung in droves. Such a multitude of masculinity could only be found in one place... And that was O'malley's Alley. The air was thick with cat calls (no pun intended), But not even a muscle in her neck did twitch as she sauntered up into the heart of the alleyway. She knew what she wanted. She was lookin' for that stud bull, the he cat. And that was me. Tommy the Cat is my name and I say unto thee... Say baby do you wanna lay down with me Say baby do you wanna lay down by my side Ah baby do you wanna lay down with me Say baby?...Say baby |

The Earth it did crack open
on the day that I was born and a thousand merry pranksters came dancin' through the storm. I lay cradle bound a howlin' out my mind not knowin' years to come I'd be shoutin' over din I sucked information through the holes in my skull as my belly gurgles hungry my mouth is always full. I am Antipop; I'll run against the grain till the day I drop. I am the Antipop; the man you cannot stop. As a young man, I plug into the tube, but the stench of all that pretense I cannot muddle through. I lay on my back and scan the radio all that comes out my speakers is a steady syrup flow. I suck information through the holes in my skull as my belly gurgles hungry my mouth is always full. I stood by watching and I seen 'em come and go. I seen 'em make that million then vanish in the snow. They come upon you like a pack of rabid hounds as they slobber in your ears and purge you with their sounds. Pushing misinformation through the holes in my skull my belly gurgles nauseous and still my mouth is full. I am Antipop; I'll run against the grain till the day I drop. I am the Antipop; the man you cannot stop. |

Part I - Blinded by the Sun Bring me back again, I'd really rather not be out here on my own. |

The best of times, the worst of times,
the times you can't ignore. Sometimes you bite the bullet and flip flop on the floor. They tell you where to go, and they tell you what to do. They set your face on fire then stomp it out with their shoes. I ain't no fool. Mama didn't raise no fool. The times I can't complain are the times I do the most. On a diet of black coffee and prozac buttered toast. These eunuchs in their prada and Gucci flavored clothes. Wouldn't know a fresh perspective if it bit 'em up on the nose. I ain't no fool. Mama didn't raise no fool. Don't do as they say, just say as they do. No flavor's quite so bitter as the taste of one's own shoe. I ain't no fool. Mama didn't raise no fool. |

I'm a dog, a dirty flying dog.
I drink Campari with marinated wild hog. I've no sense, I like electric fence. I put barbed wire in my pants and do a celtic dance. But when I can, I'm a giving man. I'll flip you out the fire and back up into the frying pan. And if you're down looking like you're gonna drown. Of all your friends I'm the one who's most apt to stick around. I'm a drowning man. Who will save this drowning man. Who will save this drowning man. Who will save this dirty drowning man. You're so fine, so bright and shiney fine. And I'm so proud to say that you in fact are a friend of mine. And doubly pleased with crooked wobbly knees. I dive on in and backstroke right across these seas of cheese. But on the times when I'm not such a giving man. Please flip me out of the fire and backup into the frying pan. And if you're down looking like you're gonna drown. Of all your friends I'm the one who's most apt to stick around. I'm a drowning man. Who will save this drowning man. Who will save this drowning man. Who will save this dirty drowning man. |

Military show is Blastin' off to Kosovo.
Military show with lightning speed. Sensitivity? Oh, just a rusty nail in the corporate show. How many stabs before we bleed? Those Pinocchios chattering out in stereo, boy Pinnocchio and his golden deed. Masculinity? Oh, galvanized in the world wide show as we fertilise the seed. Power mad, I didn't chop the tree down dad I only try to do what's right. Power man, the best friend that you ever had unless of course you choose to fight. Power mad, driving out of the shadows, he never tires when he plays. Power mad, he's a streak in the night time speculating how he'll take on the world some day. Originality? Oh, just a rusty nail in a Broadway show how many stabs before we succeed. Power mad, I didn't drop my pants down dad, I know my left hand from my right. Power man, the best friend that you ever had unless of course you lose the fight. |

He wasn't lookin' for fanfare or fame
but it all came around just the same. He then met a girl with desire in her eye, he gave her love, she took his name. The times they were good, the times they were bad, most times it was just in between. The hard pill he swallowed was the times that they had, she put on display for all to be seen. Some find their solace in work or the lord, she was quite content in her dream. When his eyes they burned from the bright lime light, he found comfort in the bottle of Ol' Jimmy Beam. One day from the depths of his deep darkened hole, he reached out for something to feel. She offered back nothin' but lack of respect so he left himself out with two barrels of steel. She cried in the day, she cried in the night. She cried loudest when someone was near. Whether crying for him or she cried for herself, the bigger the camera, the bigger the tear. Most folks agree that she was living a hell and publicly she showed her pain. And never once was there a thought for herself, and the ever-growing slices of fortune and fame. Now on the coattails of a dead man she'll ride on the coattails of a dead man she'll ride. On the coattails of a dead man she'll ride she'll ride, on the coattails of a dead man she'll ride she'll ride high. |

Said Tommy the Cat as he reeled back to clear whatever foreign matter
may have nestled its way into his mighty throat.

TOO MANY PUPPIES ARE BEING SHOT IN THE DARK. TOO MANY PUPPIES ARE TRAINED NOT TO BARK. AT THE SIGHT OF BLOOD THAT MUST BE SPILLED SO THAT WE MAY MAINTAIN OUR OIL FIELDS. TOO MANY PUPPIES. TOO MANY PUPPIES ARE TAUGHT TO KILL. ON THE COMMAND OF MEN WEARING MONEY BELTS THAT BUY MISTRESSES SLEEK ANIMAL PELTS. TOO MANY PUPPIES. TOO MANY PUPPIES WITH GUNS IN THEIR HANDS. TOO MANY PUPPIES IN FOREIGN LANDS. ARE DRESSED UP SHARP IN SUIT OF GREEN AND PLACED UPON THE WAR MACHINE. TOO MANY PUPPIES ARE JUST LIKE ME. TOO MANY PUPPIES ARE AFRAID TO SEE. THE VISIONS OF THE PAST BROUGHT TO LIFE AGAIN. TOO MANY PUPPIES. TOO MANY DEAD MEN. |

from Primus - Suck On This [live] (1990)
When I woke up this mornin' I felt a pang.
I was hungerin' for some apple pie. Stumble in the bathroom, hung my hog a little bit. Washed the sleep out of my eye. Oh yeah, it's gonna be a fine day. Scratched myself a bit. Poured me out a bowl-a corn chex. Closest thing I could find to apple pie. Lingerin' taste of toothpaste Made the milk go down a bit funny. But you know, them chex they do satisfy. Oh yeah, this'll be a fine day. So, after my mornin' rise-n-shine and eat-n-clean. Had my mind set to hit them streets. Drizzle from the night left cold puddles out. Had my black stomp-boots on my feet. It's my day. Since I was in kneepants my pop had tried to make me realize. If I set my mind down to it I could be a big man in the public eye. So with my big blue collar on, I set out to find the easy way. What an Ice cold bath it was when I found you had to pay to play. To taste the taste it's a tease that never would subside. The taste is strong but soured by my learned eyes. Well, if a woodchuck could chuck wood, He'd get down on his knees to pray. This little snappy boy might see The light this ground hog's day. |

Through the door it slithers in,
Accompanied by it's peers. Always groveling for attention, While no one really hears. In it's mind it's full of wit And quite the social king. It plants itself among the rest, To give it's deadly sting. It's just a matter of opinion. Further now there's a man of taste. Of talent and precision. To work and strive at his artform. Has been his life's decision. The stage is set. the perfect show Is put before the mass. Only to be ridiculed By some slimy, pompous ass. It's just a matter of opinion. |
