Brother Thrush, how you fly so high
Way up in the clouds The trees resound with open arms for one so rare Brother Man just can't compare When we're sitting on the banks of the sunshine We hear your song High above the living Brother gull, see him soar the sky He's so pleased to be Buoyant and triumphant on the raging sea Backing nature, feeling free Loving nature, rest your head Hear the message, man is dead See the cities fall While Brother Bird still... flies! Brother Lark, see him wake the day See him fly on by Above the streets now empty to his mournful cry Brother Man just heaves a sigh When we're sitting on the banks of the sunshine We hear your song High above the living Yes, we hear your song... |

Don't ask me how I know
But this dark sky will soon be blue Don't ask, no don't ask Just watch as the grey mists of winter fall Like so many drops of dew Feel the ice melt to warm tears in my eyes Uner the light of a tin sun Do not ask me how I know The effect of light on unseeing eyes How should I know? How could I know? Dark now my sky The sea of peace has left my shore No birds sing The silent spring will overflow Oh you'll never know I love you so You'll always be A part of me Dark now my eyes The sea of peace has met the sky No birds sing And like the Spring life whispers by Oh you'll never know I love you so You'll always be A part of me Dark now my sky The winds of time have swept my shore No birds fly The trees that fall will rise no more Oh you'll never know I love you so You'll always be A part of me |

Early morning
It's cold and the sun is white For I was born in The darkness before the light Of a new day A new way of living Of giving delight And if you pay Then you may be slipping Back into the night Then all knowing With words and with pen I write Of the growing Of things that are in my sight Early evening It's cold and the moon is bright And I believe in The darkness before the light Of a new day A new way of living Of giving delight And if you pay Then you may be slipping Back into the night |

Oh Mother dear
What a night this has been I awoke in the light of a vision in white The prettiest girl that I have ever seen Lately my love, said the lady in white I have watched from afar, but love draws me near Now take my hand, hold tight, Mother dear Do you know what this could mean, Mother dear? Was it just another dream..... in the night? Mother dear, on that same silver night Saw a figure in black by the lady in white He said his name was death, was he right? Do you know what this could mean, Mother dear? Was it just another dream..... in the night? Do you know what this could mean, Mother dear? Was it just another dream..... in the night? Mother dear, what a night this has been It's so cold by your side, no don't cry, can't you see? Won't you listen to me please, Mother dear Was it just another dream, Mother dear? |

The world outside my window slowly passes by
As I gaze on the dim glow of the evening sky Where every breath that I take becomes a vapour cloud That wraps itself around me to hide me from the crowd Then like a wall descending Night will the day be ending And it's if as though by magic Everything's become so tragic Become so tragic I turn and look behind me and all the crowd have gone And though they're all around me I feel I am alone The sounds of day have vanished and I find in their place There is an awesome silence, of life there is no trace Then like a wall descending Night will the day be ending And it's if as though by magic Everything's become so tragic Become so tragic The world outside my window slowly passes by As I gaze on the dim glow of the evening sky Where every breath that I take becomes a vapour cloud That wraps itself around me to hide me from the crowd Then like a wall descending Night will the day be ending And it's if as though by magic Everything's become so tragic Become so tragic |

So tomorrow,
What of tomorrow? Will the next day find me hiding in my sorrow? For she's gone now It won't be long now Before my heart begins to cry out, I'm alone now Yesterday seemed like I lived in a dream All that I needed was there Now that she's gone There's no sense holding on I know that I shouldn't care So tomorrow, What of tomorrow? Will the next day find me hiding in my sorrow? For she's gone now It won't be long now Before my heart begins to cry out, I'm alone now Yesterday seemed like I lived in a dream All that I needed was there Now that she's gone There's no sense holding on I know that I shouldn't care So tomorrow, What of tomorrow? Her circumstances slight Are only helping her to fail And though she feels she's right She tries with all her might And makes the deepest peril pale Oh, but she is unreal Oh, but she doesn't feel Oh, but she is unreal She chooses who to love And then unlike a dove She takes the laughter from their smile She wears a velvet glove Her friends may find it rough It is a gauntlet all the while Oh, but she is unreal Oh, but she doesn't feel Oh, but she is unreal |

In corridors of air the clouds were waiting there
They knew that never again the skies would be so blue They took away the sun and with it took the fun It's true, and now there is really nothing I can do So I look outside my window at the sheets of pouring rain And I wonder if the sun will come again But the sun will never shine the way it used to do The clouds won't let it through Oh the sun will never shine its smile for me and you The clouds won't let it through It wasn't long ago the people that I knew were glad And nothing they ever thought about was sad But since the sun has gone their laughing times are none That's bad, to make them forget the happy times they've had So they look outside their window at the sheets of pouring rain And they wonder if the sun will come again But the sun will never shine the way it used to do The clouds won't let it through Oh the sun will never shine its smile for me and you The clouds won't let it through (Barclay James Harvest, ?Ardmore & Beechwood/EMI) |

When the world was woken
Save all unknowing eyes And thoughts that once were spoken Left only to despise And when the dawn is breaking Look upward to the sky If life is so hard to live Why not die? When the world has woken And shadows leave the air Then each spell will be broken For everyone who cares The day will then be endless The night will soon pass by If life is so hard to live Why not die? When the world has woken For all who see the sun And gentle words are spoken The dawning has begun Then man can live together With one triumphant cry If life is so hard to live Why not die? |

John's vision of armageddon literally closes the album with a bang! The references in the lyric to a stained-glass window ("one great wall of coloured parts") and "the multi-coloured cross left standing through it all" add to the apocalyptic feel of the song, which was a live favourite for many years, particularly in the days of the band's concerts with the orchestra.
Lyrics: The eyes of night march slowly by The last grain falls The kneeling man just sighs Protected by the one great wall Of coloured parts He probes his clouded mind If he takes a look around him Is there nothing left to see Is there nothing left at all After the day With trembling hands he wipes his eyes He tries to stand But does not feel the need The morning sun shines on The multicoloured cross Left standing through it all If he takes a look around him Is there nothing left to see Is there nothing left at all After the day If he takes a look around him Is there nothing left to see Is there nothing left at all After the day |

Mystery is following me down that lonesome road
And I don't know my way, my way back home There's someone on my shoulder and he will not share a load And I don't know my way, my way back home There's a certain something deep inside Like a rolling sea or a river wide As the orchestra starts playing Get down Joe You can see his face, you can feel his smile Yeah, look down low and let the tears run wild When the orchestra starts playing Blue John's Blues Think about me, girl, and the things I ain't said I could not be sad, thinkin' 'bout the things that you do While the folks around me sing on Blue John's Blues Band is swinging, people singing Get down Joe There's a place down home where people meet They clap their hands and they stamp their feet When the music starts and the band plays Get down Joe They sing out loud and they sing out clear Turn your head round girl and you might just hear And if you do then start down singing Blue John's Blues Think about me, girl, and the things I ain't said I could not be sad, thinkin' 'bout the things that you do While the folks around me sing on Blue John's Blues Band is swinging, people singing Get down Joe Take hold of John's blues (?) Must be a thousand hues (?) Blue John's Blues Get back Joe Take back all of your dough You've got no place to go Blue John's Blues Get back now Joe My sweetest girl that I ever had She's drive any poor man bad Blue John's Blues Well my Ma and my Papa said, Son You'll get the KB when you're not on the run (?) Blue John's Blues Well my lady and me we're gonna dance all night Yeah yeah we're gonna dance until the broad broad light Blue John's Blues The sweetest girl that I ever had Was guaranteed to drive a poor man bad Blue John's Blues Blue John Blues Get back Joe Lord, get back Joe |

When I was just a child
My world it was so small The empty playground swings The corner shop, the penny drinks The backyard walls Of a brave new world And as the years passed by I never thought to try And memorise the dreams The childhood fantasies The backyard walls Of a brave new world Hey, Suzanne, won't you come out to play? Well the moon is bright and this weather's fine And there's something I've got to say Hey, Suzanne, won't you come out to play? Well my mama told me and I know she's right That the blackest day's when the nations fight Remember to pray when you go to bed For what mama said Bow your head For a brave new world Now I'm twenty-four My small world's closed the door I feel like I should cry Death's desperation lies on every eye In the brave new world Hey, Suzanne, won't you come out to play? Well the moon is bright and the weather's fine And there's something I've got to say Hey, Suzanne, won't you come out to play? Well my mama told me and I know she's right That the blackest day's when the nations fight Remember to pray when you go to bed For what mama said Bow your head For a brave new world Now I'm old and grey And life has passed my way My tears have all run dry I've seen men born to kill and born to die For a brave new world For a brave new world It's such an old, old world |

Passing time in the sun
To think of things, lost and done You wonder why she left so soon No word or reason why All feelings born can only die Lazy days passing by With memories you just can't hide The song flows on you can't pursue Your words don't mean a thing The mood's too hard for you to sing Moving on with a sigh A silhouette against the sky The seconds they dripped right on by And slowly filled the day And feelings born can only fade away |

The child of woman just slipped away The child of man knelt down to pray And the children of the earth Didn't know it was the day of Creation, creation, creation One thousand years or maybe more Since they first set eyes on that foreign shore The grass was green and the water pure They turned the key and opened the door To a nation, nation, nation Child of God says love your brother Take him by the hand Child of God says love your neighbour Make him understand Child of God says love your sister Take her by the hand Child of God says love your neighbour Make him understand Make him understand All believers gather round Press your faces to the ground Lift your voices to the sound Of all the others who have found Salvation, salvation, salvation Salvation, salvation, salvation Child of God says love your brother Take him by the hand Child of God says love your neighbour Make him understand Child of God says love your sister Take her by the hand Child of God says love your neighbour Make him understand Make him understand Salvation, salvation, salvation Salvation, salvation, salvation Salvation, salvation, salvation Salvation, salvation, salvation |

Sitting here, me and Chris's son
We've got a story to strike you down About a girl with the light in her eyes Black on the night, drive on the day Let the wheels run dry Sitting here, waiting for the sun Little darling, for you to come By the light of the moon flashing by Black on the night, drive on the day Let the wheels run dry Fly on by silver bird in the sky Fly on day, black on night, roll on by Bring on the sunshine shine in her eyes Fly on by silver bird Sitting here in the early grey Of a Delph town morning, we sit and pray For a sight of the light in her eyes Black on the night, drive on the day Let the wheels run dry Fly on by silver bird in the sky Fly on day, black on night, roll on by Bring on the sunshine shine in her eyes Fly on by silver bird |

Didn't anybody see his hand move faster
Than the lightning in his eyes Oh! what a cold surprise the flying horses cried And didn't anybody want to ask the calliope To call the tune The flying horses crooned but did not know The Medicine Man sits on the stage Eats fire and water, earth and air while we all stare The silver blade burns bright And tells us to beware Of mirrored passages that throw a thousand images Of younger days The wheel spins slower as it calls us back to play Round and round now we go Shout your name to the wind As it spins by your side Coloured lights echo as the sound slips on by Could that have been me? |

Why it is I just can't say I'm not old enough or wise enough to wonder I don't think about the magic that I'm under Oh moonwater, running out like silver from my eyes Oh moonwater, running out like silver from my eyes You'll find me in the twilight on the mountain When the sun shines on the lake I'm a child of darkness lost among the thunder Where the shafts of moonlight break the sky asunder Oh moonwater, running out like silver from my eyes Oh moonwater, running out like silver from my eyes |

For the sun is in my eyes I cannot hear you Everything you say just passes by What I'd give for just a smile Instead of drifting at A hundred thousand miles Can you hear me there below? All my lines have gone dead And I'm not very sure Can you hear me there below? 'Cause I'm coming down fast I can't make it alone Oh no no no... I cannot see you For the sun is in my eyes I cannot hear you Everything you say just passes by Here I stay until I'm found Insane in space and my world Is spinning round Can you hear me there below? I feel sorry for the soldier who is shot and stoned in anger
I feel sorry for his wife and child at home I feel sorry for the bomber who all life and limb dishonours For the people that he's maimed and left alone The Lord God said love thy neighbour Though in human life he trades, he's still a man I feel sorry for the children who with open mind are willing To fight for ideals aged and past their time I feel sorry for the children who will join the vicious circle Of instinct fear bred from their parents' minds The Lord God said love thy neighbour Break the circle, free the hater, call him a friend Wake up, wake up, there's a man by your side With a knife and a gun in each hand Wake up, wake up, you're one and the same It's time to stop and decide Is it love or hate? Is it peace or war? It's for sure there's no inbetween Politicians point views But they're pointing for you The solution has to be seen I thought I saw a summer soldier, helmet on his brow His silver rifle clutched beneath his armour-plated shroud I fire in hate, he cried aloud To protect myself from defeat My shield's my cause, my cause is war And from war I'll make no retreat I dreamt I saw an angel bright, a halo on his brow His golden sword lay in its sheath beneath his silver shroud I drwa thee not, he cried aloud Though your deeds like spears strike my soul My shield's my love, my cause is peace Faith be sure I shall not retreat |

There's something that I feel but can't explain People running round and round Putting one another down The joker laughs the joker cries He sees the world through weary eyes People running round and round Putting one another down Too many people, they don't know where they're going There are no haloes showing "Peace and love", just greed and hate It's not too late to see we're all the same The joker sees a better way But people laugh and turn away |

My images they run Confusing all I've done before I've begun And every city scene Becomes a roaring stream A nightmare and a dream rolled into one But when the city sleeps I'm up and on my feet Along the darkened streets Hear me run Through the empty town Running, laughing, down No-one else around ? to bother old me By factories I sway My shadows seem to play To do this in the day ? I'd never be free But when the city sleeps I'm up and on my feet Along the darkened streets Hear me run |

Running alone in the crazy city
Look at the face of once were pretty People then wonder what happened To make it that way Listen around you, have you heard? Climb on the back of a silver bird London to L.A. before you can think What to say Stop awhile, take a smile Know that you're living in today Up and down, look around No need to hide yourself away Out in the country's where I'm going Back where the tree of life's still growing Take a free ride where the tide Flows the way of your heart Follow the wild dove where he's flying Out where the sun is never crying Wait at the gate or they'll stop you And blow you apart Stop awhile, take a smile Know that you're living in today Up and down, look around No need to hide yourself away |

Negative Earth - Barclay James Harvest
For fifty-five days I've been flying around the world Didn't anybody know, didn't anyone suppose That my life up here was slowly drifting by And all I've got to do is sit and cry The Earth is so clear and it's simply a reach away I just had to laugh today but the news it seemed to say That my life once full was surely running dry I prayed a while but then I had to cry Look in my eyes - I know That man is surely just a man It's no surprise - I know The road is far too long And life too short to carry on For fifty-five days I've been flying around the world Here in syncopated time, while my tangled web of rhyme Dangles aimlessly, time drips slowly by And all I've got to do is sit and cry Look in my eyes - I know That man is surely just a man It's no surprise - I know The road is far too long And life too short to carry on |

When he's working every day It's harder to be there in his shoes He was born to be that way If I tell you tomorrow I'm leaving Would you understand the reason why? A poor boy works hard for his living But a rich man he plays to pass the time So goodbye, pleased to know you We had some laughs along the way But I have to be leaving And there's nothing you can do to make me stay If I tell you tomorrow I'm leaving Would you understand the reason why? About a major out in space And though the song was kind of grey It took me far away Heard the news the other day About a sailor oh so gay And though his policies were grey They took me far away 'Cause I couldn't stand the thought Of being taken in again Have you seen my life, Mr. Groan? And as we sleep we will be saved Life in its essence will endure Whilst still on earth we can be sure All our endeavours surely must return to dust We will survive beyond the grave And as we sleep we will be saved Though storm and tempest ravage all And all is darkness where we fall Like brave Explorers bold and free We sail forever on the sea!! CHORUS: Everybody needs someone to love Everybody needs a friend Everybody needs someone to care Do you think you can make it in the end? Do you think that you can make it, my friend? I thought it was easy But what did I know Of old men and first blood Or the drunk who gets taken blow by blow? The dice are all loaded You pay by the throw But you pay the loser Seems the rain is turning into snow CHORUS We stand round your doorways You hang on the walls Your frames are your windows Put your bodies on the stalls You take all our money We leave you no name We're dealt just the one card But the dealer plays in every game CHORUS |

Roll on out of the night The thoughts of a dreamer Asking and telling me why Lady awaken the morning is taking Your bad dreams away from your eyes Nothing's forsaken the new day is breaking So come now it's time to arise As the sounds of the morning Rise up out of the blue Still a voice keeps on saying Hold on, hold on to you Lady awaken the morning is taking Your bad dreams away from your eyes Nothing's forsaken the new day is breaking So come now it's time to arise Is it my life, is it my song That makes me feel something's wrong? You know me well, the tale I tell Is only halfway there, 'cause you You made me smile when I was down And you made me happy, being around So I'm always gonna sing for you Is it the time, flying along That makes me feel that it's wrong? The rock on which I stand is slowly sinking in the sand
The sheer realities of life are rushing by I am looking out at life and I don't know what's wrong or right And I can't even see the bright side of the moon I stopped a man in the street today And I asked him "Sir, is it night or day?" He just stared (smiled) in disbelief I asked again but he walked away He said "Don't you know?" I said "Can't you say? Is there something inbetween? Is it something I've not seen? Did it change so fast or was it just a dream?" Time and time again I've tried to recreate the past few days Evaluate the constants from the haze But every time I think I'm right, they say I'm wrong "This day is night and night is day - It's there in black and white" Night is light and dark is day If I disagree they say I'm insane And the treatment will begin If I say that the day is light They just point my eyes to the blinding night, saying "We can't set you free if you always disagree, So the State is going to pay your doctor's fee" They put me out in the pouring rain To enjoy the sun or to feel the pain Of the nightmare life's become I asked a man in the street today Or was it yesterday or the day before? "Is there something I've not seen? Is there something inbetween? Did it change so fast or was it just a dream?" The rock on which I stand is now beneath the ever-flowing sand The sheer realities are here to stay I'm looking out at life and now I know what's wrong and right It's what you hear and what you read and what they say I saw a man in the street today Ask another man "Is it night or day?" He just stared (smiled) in disbelief He said "Friend, it's your lucky day I'm a party man, won't you step this way?" I've got something you've not seen Now I know it's not a dreamIt just came so fast, that something inbetween |

I was down on the east side
On a block with no name When I walked in a movie You were blue, I was game Tell me, did you love it, baby? Did you think your smile looked right? Tell me when you came together Was it in your mind 'cause it sure wasn't out of sight Didn't know when I entered Second seat, second row It was then that I saw you But your mouth stole the show Tell me, did you love it, baby? Did you think your smile looked right? Tell me when you came together Was it in your mind 'cause it sure wasn't out of sight Got your name, got your number Got your form on the line I don't know who you're under But I know it ain't mine Tell me, did you love it, baby? Did you think your smile looked right? Tell me when you came together Was it in your mind 'cause it sure wasn't out of sight |

Burning fiery furnace in the sky
Burns the ground around us where we lie Sad old black-faced thunder will you rise Bring your cloud and shadows to our eyes Blazing star in heaven, mirror bright Dry our seas and rivers with your light Universal sentinel you are Guide of all who look on from afar Blazing Ra God of old now broken and defaced Punish all who've fallen from your grace You whose power leaves the depeest scar Mystic eye of heaven, Amun Ra |

The higher you fly, the harder you fall
The way that it goes, so they say No mountain's too high, no valley too low No river too wide on the way So you're gonna be a rock 'n' roll star Gonna make it on your own Write a song that everyone can sing along So you want to take a trip to the stars Can you find your way back home? You'll get your break, but don't you wait too long The harder you try, the lower you fall The way that it seems, so they say The mountain is high, the valley so low You're losing your dreams on the way So you're gonna be a rock 'n' roll star Gonna make it on your own Write a song that everyone can sing along So you want to take a trip to the stars Can you find your way back home? You'll get your break, but don't you wait too long Looking behind you All the bad times that you've had Looking before you Only good times? So you're gonna be a rock 'n' roll star Gonna make it on your own Write a song that everyone can sing along So you want to take a trip to the stars Can you find your way back home? You'll get your break, but don't you wait too long Now don't you wait too long |

I woke up to a feeling, it was cold by my side
You had gone with the sunrise, leaving tears in my eyes I got up with a feeling of an emptiness inside To the noise of the sidewalk and the silence of my mind Well I walked out this morning, down a street with no name To a club called "The Loser", like a dog that's gone lame Took the club elevator to the floor with a view I took out life subscription - it's the only one they do I stepped out on the guard rail, saw the crowds slowly part Heard a voice shouting "Don't jump, please for God's sake let me move my car!" Felt a hand on my shoulder, heard a voice cry "Just in time!" Felt the quick push, felt the air rush Felt the sidewalk, fell in line |

See the gambler make a stand
Holds a lifetime in his hand Win the game or lose control But the world goes on forever Life's a circle, I recall Shadows played upon the wall You pay the piper to call the tune And the song goes on forever And when all the words have gone There's the thought to carry on Just like a bird that sings Leave it all behind and spread your wings You can leave it all behind - spread your wings Lay me down Saw the road move on before me Times when I was tired and lost my way Looking at life and strangely for the first time Thinking that I could stay here But the world moves on forever And when all the words have gone There's the thought to carry on Just like a bird that sings Leave it all behind and spread your wings You can leave it all behind - spread your wings |

When the lights are fading slowly on another show
And the crowd has gone, the people cease to shout for more You'd better run, stop from crying all the time Don't you know it's got to end, I thought you were a friend of mine Goodbye bright light city heading for the sun Where the southern girls are pretty and there's two for one You'd better run, stop from crying all the time Don't you know it's got to end, I thought you were a friend of mine |

Valley's deep and the mountain's so high
If you want to see God you've got to move on the other side You stand up there with your head in the clouds Don't try to fly you know you might not come down Don't try to fly, dear God, you might not come down Jesus came down from Heaven to earth The people said it was a virgin birth Jesus came down from Heaven to earth The people said it was a virgin birth He told great stories of the Lord And said he was the saviour of us all He told great stories of the Lord And said he was the saviour of us all For this they/we killed him, nailed him up high He rose again as if to ask us why Then he ascended into the sky As if to say in God alone you soar As if to say in God alone we fly. Valley's deep and the mountain's so high If you want to see God you've got to move on the other side You stand up there with your head in the clouds Don't try to fly you know you might not come down Don't try to fly, dear God, you might not come down |

Well I feel like I've come to the end of a long long road
My body's tired and my mind's got no place to go The end of the line's where I'm at, 'cos there's nothing left to be Just a burnt out case, God, the leper and me Well i feel like I've come to the end of a long long day The victim of a life that I tried to give away A prisoner of the isles where there's nothing left to be Just a burnt out case, God, the leper and me Well I feel like I've come to the end of a long long road My body's tired and my mind's got no place to go The end of the line's where I'm at, 'cos there's nothing left to be Just a burnt out case, God, the leper and me |

Love was like a violin playing soft and low
In your heart you held the strings, in my heart the bow Together we made soft sweet music, together we believed In every day in every hour our love was everything Love was like a summer breeze, after pouring rain Blowing all the clouds away, bringing sun again Together we made soft sweet music, together we believed In every day in every hour our love was everything First dance you were mine, first dance we made it Last dance, last chance, you know I know you were wrong You know you were wrong, you know for every feeling there's a song You were like a mountain stream, flowing fast and free You were like the autumn leaves blowing from my tree Together we made soft sweet music, together we believed In every day in every hour our love was everything After all the leaves had gone, you were winter snow You were so cold and far away, I had to let you go Together we made soft sweet music, together we believed In every day in every hour our love was everything |

All the nights that I've missed you
All the nights without end All the times that I've called you Only needing a friend Now your eyes shine with beauty That I missed long ago Guess the truth is I love you I can't say any more 'Cause I need you Yes I want you Yes I love you As I look from my window To the streets where you stand I am gazing through dark glass We can't walk hand in hand Though your friends try to tell me Though your friends you defend They keep my heart from your heart We must be in the end 'Cause I love you Yes I need you Yes I love you All the nights that I've missed you All the nights without end All the times that I've called you Only needing a friend Now your eyes shine with beauty That I missed long ago Guess the truth is I love you I can't say any more 'Cause I need you Yes I want you Yes I love you |

We steered our ship to the Sea of all Tranquility
The only sound our voices, as star-struck we fly Our hopes ever high That the songs we sing and the words we bring Should never die We set our sights on the Sea of all Tranquility Our pointless flight betraying now fallen we are (Gods of old now broken and defaced) Compared to a star And the final reach to that barren beach Is much too far Yesterday our songs of glory shone A dream of ages every one We sold our souls for senseless gain And brought our harvest home in vain (Above the seven seas is one) Yesterday our songs of glory shone A dream of ages every one We sold our souls for senseless gain And brought our harvest home in vain |

There's a spirit floating on the water
There's a shadow lying down by the shore Wasn't he there a year before? A sacrifice for the coat he's wearing A 'paradise' for the lady Who dares colour him red upon the shore? We carry the burden upon our shoulder We carry their lives in the palm of our hand Don't you care about the state you're in Or don't you understand? See the spirit floating on the water See the shadow lying down by the shore Wasn't he there some years before? We carry the burden upon our shoulder We carry their lives in the palm of our hand Don't you care about the state you're in Or don't you understand? |
