어제밤에 VOD 서비스로 이 영화 보고 깜짝 놀랐다. 정말 이상한 영화더라구ㅋㅋㅋ 서부 배경인데 에이리언이 나오는 낯설고 해괴한 모습ㅎㅎ 제목이 카우보이 앤 에이리언이라고 그래서 설마 설마 했는데... 난 그냥 미래 배경의 SF에 총잡이처럼 총 쏴대서 에이리언 죽이는 모습이 나와서 그런거겠지 하고 예상했는데 진짜 미국 개척 당시의 서부가 배경인줄은 꿈에도 몰랐다. 에이리언이 서부에 왜 왔냐면 금 때문에 왔단다. 금은 걔들한테도 귀한 거였단다. 다니엘.....

아는 분이 극장에서 이걸 봤는데 재미있었다며 왜 이 영화를 안 봤냐며 묻길래 배우들 때문이라고 그랬다. 제이크 질랜할은 좋은 배우지만 그건 이나 같은 영화에 나올 때나 그렇고 이런 헐리웃 블록버스터에는 잘 어울리지 않는 것 같아서다. 무엇보다도 페르시아 제국을 배경으로 한 액션 서사극에는 당최 관심이 안 생기는 거다. 뜬금없이 페르시아 제국까지 갈 건 또 뭐냐 싶었는데 아니나다를까... 보는 내내 지루했고 극장에서 안 보.....

이 시리즈, 지금까지 모두 극장서 봐 온 1인. 울 나라 사람들은 '맨' 시리즈를 별로 좋아하지 않는다지만 어렸을 때 슈퍼맨 다 챙겨 봤던 기억 때문에 그런지 뭔지 난 '맨'이면 사족을 못 쓰는 편이다. 은 다른 작품들과 차별화된 것이 있어 좋다. 돌연변이들, 인간들에게 따 당하는 괴물들이 영웅이라는 거다. 블록버스터임에도 그 안에 생명 존엄에 대한 메시지를 담을 수 있다는 게 대단하지 않나. 직설적으로 교훈을 말하는 건 딱 질색이지만 그래.....
