사주현의 해금 ‘장:단’은 모두 창작음악으로 구성되어 있다.
한국 전통악기 해금은 창작음악을 연주할 때 주로 선율을 담당하는데 선율을 잘 연주하기 위해서 숙지되어야 할 중요한 요소는 ‘장단(長短)’에 대한 이해와 장단 안에 내재된 리듬에 대한 해석이다. ‘장단’은 단순히 길고 짧음의 대비가 아닌 리듬, 음의 강약, 선율의 프레이즈, 연주방법 등을 결정짓는 요소이기 때문에 장단에 대한 해석과 이해는 선율을 잘 연주하는 데에 매우 중요하다고 할 수 있다. 이러한 ‘장단’에 초점을 맞추어 선보이는 4곡의 창작음악을 통해 해금이 뿜어내는 고도의 테크닉과 매력에 흠뻑 빠져보시길 바란다.
‘Jang: Dan’ by Sa Juhyun’s Haegeum
‘Jang: Dan’ by Sa Juhyun’s Haegeum consists entirely of contemporary pieces.
Haegeum, a Korean traditional instrument, mainly takes the melodic lines in performance of contemporary pieces. For successful performance of contemporary piece, it is imperative to have a good understanding of jang and dan (long and short notes), and interpretation of the implicit rhythms as ‘jang dan’, rather than mere contrast of the long and short notes, determines the rhythm, the articulation, phrasing of the melody, and technique. The four selected pieces here focus on such ‘jang dan,’aiming to captivate the audience with Haegeum’s allure and demanding technique. ....
