2016년 데뷔 싱글 [Dopeboy] 와 첫 EP앨범 [new blood] 를 발표하며 힙합 씬에 주목을 받기 시작한 nafla.
그는 올해 헨리, 헤이즈, 키비 그리고 최근 서태지 25주년 기념 앨범에 참여하며 여러 아티스트들과 협업을 이어오고, 드디어 그의 첫번째 정규앨범을 발표했다.
nafla 는 평소 즐겨 듣는 '2000년대'에 중점을 두고 그만의 화려한 랩과 사람들이 편하게 듣고 즐길 수 있는, 두가지를 적절히 섞어 [ANGELS]를 제작했다. [ANGELS]는 작사, 작곡은 물론 올 셀프 프로듀싱, 사운드 디자인 및 비쥬얼 디렉팅까지 모든 과정에 주도적으로 참여한 nafla 의 모든 것이 담긴 앨범이다.
피쳐링진으로 메킷레인 레코즈 소속 아티스트들이 참여하고, 프로듀서진으로 Cloudy Beats, 김박첼라, GAN VOGH, Groovy Room 등 자신의 앨범 안에서도 다양한 아티스트들과의 작업을 진행했다.
드럼과 랩으로 임펙트있게 시작하는 트랙 'jungle'을 시작으로 LA 바이브를 담은 'kickback', 'loosies', West Coast 힙합 스타일의 'deadtree', 2000년대 스타일의 'fly high', 러프한 동부 힙합이 느껴지는 'jail', 'gra gra' 등 힙합에 자신만의 스타일을 입혔다.
또한 누구나 편하게 들을 수 있는 '호피 (dime)', 자신의 감정을 솔직하게 담은 '혼자가 편해' 등 앨범은 처음부터 끝까지 nafla 의 스토리를 담아 흘러간다.
